Maintenance of landscaping products
Once installed, your low-voltage landscape lighting system will be exposed to harsh outdoor conditions, such as sprinklers, rain, sun, dust and other types of debris.
Although our fixtures are made of weather-resistant non-ferrous metals, providing them with the following care will ensure years of trouble-free use.
-
Lubricate lamps and sockets
Before inserting the lamps into the sockets, coat the metal base of the lamp with a thin layer of antioxidant grease. Also, add a little grass to the inside of the socket to prevent corrosion caused by humidity.
-
Clean the light fixtures
Periodic cleaning can significantly improve lighting performance and extend the life of your fixtures. For example, cleaning can be done every time a light bulb is changed or every spring after the snow has melted. Cleaning can be done with a clean cloth and mild soap and the lenses can be cleaned with a lens cleaner.
Caution! Make sure the water drainage hole are clear!
